About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Louisa Olowu Ewela Tosan. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry, cleaning, and organization of living spaces.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, and tidying up living areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Language Skills: Bini and Edo languages are an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
