Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patrol Maintenance Technician to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our roadways and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction, road maintenance, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. You will be required to maintain a valid Ontario Class "DZ" Driver's License and MTO Operator's Permit, and have an acceptable driving record.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment operation and maintenance, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our roadways and infrastructure.
  • Assist in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of the weekly, monthly, and annual work plan.
  • Provide leadership and training to junior staff, including instructions on safety techniques, methods, and procedures.
  • Inspect work performed by contract staff for compliance to standards and contractual agreement, advising contractors of deficiencies and reporting on performance to supervisor.
  • Perform administrative activities, including completing, reviewing, and maintaining records, and providing information for analysis of contractor or public claims.
  • Liaise with property owners, the general public, and individuals from organizations such as police, municipal, and other Ontario Government Ministries, and utility companies for the purpose of exchanging information, promoting, and maintaining good public relations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industry repair, maintenance, or landscaping (outdoor work) (Preferred)
  • Valid Ontario Class "DZ" Driver's License and MTO Operator's Permit (Required)
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee will occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment will usually be moderate but on occasion can be more than moderate.
