About the Role

Nexus Home Renovations and Construction Corp. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately, and prepare them for installation.
  • Install Resilient Flooring: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including underlay and underpadding, to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Install Hardwood Flooring: Prepare and install hardwood floors, including measuring, cutting, and fitting the wood to ensure a precise and professional finish.
  • Inspect and Repair Damaged Flooring: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, including removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Work in Various Settings: Work in commercial, residential, and various locations, including preparing floors for installations and removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, as you will be working in a physically demanding environment, bending, crouching, and kneeling regularly.
  • Work Schedule: The work schedule is 33 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Language: The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.
