About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at New Star Renovation Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to create precise and durable structures.
  • Develop and submit detailed quotations and tenders for construction projects, taking into account costs, materials, and timelines.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, ensuring stability and safety.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, paying close attention to detail and quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects, providing accurate and reliable information to stakeholders.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining and utilizing personal protective equipment, such as steel-toed safety boots.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the construction industry.
  • Permanent employment with a regular 35-hour workweek.
  • Proficiency in English as the primary language of communication.
