About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mortgage Underwriting Specialist to join our team at Accoravillage. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a critical role in reviewing and verifying mortgage applications to ensure compliance with our company's guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify the accuracy of mortgage application submissions using due diligence and in compliance with internal regulatory guidelines and anti-money laundering and terrorist financing guidelines.
  • Document clear and concise notes within the mortgage underwriting system.
  • Provide timely and accurate credit decisions.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including closers and partners, to ensure seamless mortgage processing.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in lenders and the real estate market to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting, preferably in a bilingual environment.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Slack.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to convey solutions to areas of concern.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
