Job Overview:
  • Efficiently operate a heavy-duty vehicle to carry out designated tasks on transfer routes.
  • Adhere to assigned route schedules throughout the shift and ensure all necessary documentation is completed at the end of the journey.
  • Work in conjunction with Route Managers to enhance route efficiency and address any problematic accounts.
  • Relay customer inquiries or concerns to Dispatch for resolution.
  • Manage overflow materials or larger items that may necessitate manual handling.
  • Maintain and clean the vehicle in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience driving a garbage truck with a DZ license, or at least 2 years of experience driving a DZ truck.
  • Must possess a valid DZ or Class 3 license or higher.
  • A valid SIN is required for employment eligibility in Canada.
  • A CDL is necessary, and applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background investigation is required.
  • An acceptable driving record is mandatory.
