About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at True North Star Subs Inc. as a key member of our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and implement procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance on kitchen operations and safety protocols.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment, and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, supply chain logistics, and menu planning.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong initiative and teamwork skills.
  • Work Conditions: 35 hours per week, with regular working hours and occasional overtime as required.
  • Language: English.
