Regional Health & Safety Manager

Summit Search Group is seeking a highly experienced Regional Health & Safety Manager to lead our Western Canada operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety standards across our project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with site management and client safety teams to ensure alignment and compliance with corporate and provincial safety standards.
  • Maintain open communication with leadership on safety compliance and performance.
  • Investigate and report all safety-related incidents promptly, implementing preventive measures to minimize risk.
  • Conduct or coordinate safety training for workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely.
  • Support branch management in planning, scheduling, and policy review, ensuring safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical advice and mentoring to employees on safety practices, promoting a culture of safety throughout our organization.
  • Oversee and hold safety field advisors accountable for their tasks, ensuring they are meeting safety standards.
  • Maintain COR certification and ensure compliance with relevant regulations in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
  • Develop and implement modern tools to improve QHSE performance and prevent incidents.
  • Provide leadership in injury management, rehabilitation, and claims compensation, ensuring our employees receive the support they need.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of relevant safety experience, with 7-10 years of management experience.
  • Certified Professional in a related field, with strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety ACT & Regulations for British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
  • Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
