Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Casual On-Call Crossing Guard. As a Crossing Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students to and from school at designated public crosswalks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and direct pedestrian traffic at designated crosswalks
  • Report any incidents or concerns to the school administration
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure a safe and orderly crossing experience
Requirements
  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • First Aid certification an asset
Working Conditions

Casual On-Call Crossing Guards work a maximum of 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday, while school is in session. Short-term assignments may also be available. This position may lead to a regular position in the district.

Compensation

Crossing Guard pay rate is $25.05 per hour, plus 20% in lieu of benefits.
