Your Opportunity

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for coordinating the transportation of bins to and from customer locations with our drivers throughout the region.

A Day in the Life

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and recording calls from customers
  • Inputting details from customers to generate work order packages
  • Utilizing multiple electronic platforms to complete daily tasks
  • Scheduling and dispatching drivers
  • Assisting in processing completed work orders
  • Overseeing driver pickup and delivery
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining client and employee relations
  • Setting up and maintaining project folders

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 2-5 years' experience in a dispatch and/or project coordinator function
  • Post-secondary education in logistics, transportation, and/or business or equivalent training and/or on-the-job experience
  • Experience or knowledge of the waste industry
  • CDL Driver Preferred (Class 1 or 3)
  • Knowledge of local roads and highways, dangerous goods routes, and road bans
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service focus, professional, and effective communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to gather and analyze information, and resolve problems quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organization levels
