Position Overview
The Provincial Director of Workforce Management plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing staffing and scheduling services across the province. This position is integral to the strategic transformation of workforce management within NL Health Services.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Transformation, the Provincial Director will:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of staffing and scheduling initiatives.
  • Develop and implement policies and standards to optimize workforce efficiency.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to management zones to achieve operational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to address organization-wide workforce management challenges.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and vision.

Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or a relevant discipline is required. A Master's degree is an asset.

Experience:
At least five years of experience in healthcare management roles is essential, with a focus on Integrated Capacity Management solutions. Proven experience in managing clinical resources and coordinating human resource activities is required.

Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of change management strategies and leadership competencies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in workforce management tools and scheduling software.
  • A solid understanding of labor laws and industry best practices.

Additional Information
Travel throughout the province may be necessary. A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required. Alternate combinations of qualifications may be considered.
