Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Accounting Information Systems to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and auditing, with expertise in information technology and its impact on internal and external auditing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Accounting Information Systems, including IT risks, audit data analytics, and systems reliability.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students and the accounting profession.
  • Conduct research in accounting information systems and publish in reputable journals.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a Ph.D. preferred.
  • Recent professional experience in accounting information systems auditing.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in the area of AIS auditing.
  • A professional accounting designation (CPA) and a specialist designation in internal/IT auditing (CIA, CA-IT, CISA, CRISC, etc).
