About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Hemlock Painting Inc. as a key member of our painting crew. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired color and texture
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Estimate costs and materials
Work Environment

As a Painter, you will work outdoors and in confined spaces, and may be exposed to odors. You will work at various locations, and may be required to travel to different sites.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Physically demanding
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
