Dozer Operator Job Description

Morgan Construction and Environmental (Ltd.) is seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our team. As a Dozer Operator, you will play a crucial role in the dynamic world of heavy civil construction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate various sizes of dozers, including D6T, D8, D9, and D10, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform earth moving and grading, material pushing and clearing, lease building, reclamation, road building, pad building, and culvert installation.
  • Participate in ice road construction, freezing in activities, and dragging tires.
  • Assist ground personnel when required.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
  • Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
  • Exercise exceptional judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and take ownership of tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dozers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Experience in heavy civil earthworks, construction, mining, or oilfield maintenance services industry.
  • Proven experience with technical specifications and grade plans, building roads, oilfield leases, and pads.
  • Proven experience stripping overburden, ripping, placing top soil, and reclamation activities in an active mine site.
  • Proven experience working on ice road construction.
Requirements:
  • Must have (or be willing and able to obtain) CSTS-09/OSSA Regional or BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Bear Awareness (in class).
  • Able to shovel out equipment tracks.
  • Must have (or be willing and able to obtain) CSTS-09/OSSA Regional or BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive, Bear Awareness (in class), H2S Alive or awareness.
  • Provide own steel-toed 6" lace-up boots (CSA Approved).
  • Able to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Alcohol, Drug, and fit-to-work testing is a pre-employment requirement.
Working Conditions:
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Work up to 12 hours a day.
  • Work day or night shifts.
  • Work and live in remote areas on a rotational schedule with accommodation provided.

Pay Rate: $30 - $40 per hour based on skill and experience.
