Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy, the Sales Insights Analyst will support the Lindt Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth Management team through comprehensive data analysis of gross and net sales figures, market intelligence, consumer behavior, customer point-of-sale data, and Nielsen metrics to derive actionable insights that align with the strategic goals of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and disseminate daily sales performance reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Compile detailed monthly reports that summarize sales trends, accomplishments, and areas needing improvement
- Develop ad hoc reports as requested by the Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth Managers to provide insights into specific sales activities or market dynamics
- Analyze sales data to uncover patterns, trends, and growth opportunities
- Formulate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance sales strategies and initiatives
- Employ advanced analytical tools and methodologies to identify potential risks and opportunities to achieve internal KPIs and objectives
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and Key Account teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives
- Engage in cross-functional meetings and projects to promote cohesive and integrated approaches to sales initiatives
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
- Act as the primary expert for all internal reporting and forecasting systems, providing guidance and support to team members
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within reporting systems, implementing enhancements as necessary
- Stay informed about the latest tools and technologies in reporting and forecasting to continuously improve system capabilities
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders, effectively communicating key findings and recommendations
- Utilize data visualization tools to create engaging charts, graphs, and dashboards that highlight critical insights
- University degree or equivalent in business-related fields
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Packaged Goods sector (or equivalent experience in a similar role)
- Familiarity with AC Nielsen is advantageous
- Understanding of the Efficient Consumer Response (E.C.R.) process and category management principles
- Intermediate knowledge of Cognos PowerPlay, Nielsen Workstation Plus, or Answers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills with experience in project-based work
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Entrepreneurial mindset is a plus
