About the Role

RMS Trucking Ltd is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Keep accurate maintenance reports and documentation, facilitating efficient tracking and analysis.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to maintain the overall condition of our vehicles.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including routine maintenance and repairs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The role is physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
