Key Account Director

As a Key Account Director, you will cultivate lasting and ethical relationships with clients to maximize sales revenue and drive profit sharing within our Profit Center. You'll be a vital part of each account, understanding their business needs and positioning us as their primary supplier.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client visits at their offices, stores, and sites to assess their operations, understand their requirements, and build strong relationships to secure profitable sales.
  • Engage in prospecting activities, identify new clients, and inform the Profit Center Director and credit team about potentially valuable prospects.
  • Lead the sales process, including visit reports, territory planning, and growth targets.
  • Analyze customer data, develop strategies to expand market share profitably, and exceed Profit Center objectives.
  • Process orders, proposals, and sales-related functions as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues, handle payments and returns to surpass customer expectations and benefit the Profit Center.
  • Collaborate with the Profit Center Director and credit team to settle accounts and communicate any changes affecting client solvency.
  • Create and oversee strategic supplier programs to drive profitable business growth.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Support customer service representatives and Profit Center activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Profit Center Director.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or university degree
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
  • A strong desire to continuously seek new clients and increase market share profitably
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products and value-added services
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and team members
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines on multiple projects
  • Capable of learning and utilizing order processing software
  • Average math skills
  • Ability to operate mechanical handling equipment
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience or knowledge of industrial plumbing and construction products
  • Experience with M3 software
