About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team at Magna. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our presses, ensuring high-quality production and efficient workflow.

Your Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of tryout reports, static and dynamic buyoff lists, and other relevant documentation.
  • Load dies into mechanical and hydraulic presses, ensuring proper setup and alignment.
  • Participate in all aspects of tryout, including FEA feedback, blank development, fixturing of parts, and debugging.
  • Analyze parts on checking fixtures and achieve first-off quality.
  • Mark up spotting panels and cut with disc grinders, and use hand grinders to blue spot in hot stamp dies.
  • Utilize blueprints and/or Smirt Die Design for correct detailing layout and setup.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned, including QEMS policies, QAS procedures, and documentation.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Machinist/Tool and Die pre-apprentice course or experience an asset.
  • Crane/Forklift experience an asset.
  • Previous Tooling/Machine Shop experience an asset.
  • Previous Stamping experience an asset.
  • Previous Robotic Programming an asset.
  • Ability to use hand tools, disk- and hand grinders.
  • Good communication skills, attendance, and performance required.
