We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to join our team at CareerBeacon. As a key member of our Sudbury Operations, you will play a critical role in providing geological support for our Long-Range, Mid-Range, and execution teams at Coleman mine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide geological support for Long-Range, Mid-Range, and execution teams at Coleman mine, with a primary focus on long-range modeling and MRMR management.
- Work closely with Engineering, Ground Control, and Operations to support mine designs for the Life of Mine Plan.
- Support short and mid-range geology functions at site, collaborating with the Engineering department and Operations.
- Conduct short and mid-range modeling, forecasting, and month-end reporting, including mineability and dilution, and F-Factor reconciliations.
- Perform core logging, sampling, and QAQC, and mentor execution geologists in all aspects of geological data collection and reconciliation.
- Compile and review geological data to create or update and document geological models and mineral resource estimates.
- Support Scoping, Pre-Feasibility, and Feasibility studies for various ore bodies and projects for Coleman Mine.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate integration of mineral resources and mine designs into geological database applications to support grade control practices and Mineral Reserve and Mineral Resource reporting.
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or Geological Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of progressive relevant experience in an underground mining environment.
- Registration as a Professional Geoscientist with PGO (Professional Geoscientists of Ontario) is required.
