Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to become a vital part of our Commissioning Team at Kelson. This position is centered around verifying that all piping and equipment, as specified in the project documentation, has been correctly installed and functions as a cohesive system. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical abilities, a methodical approach, and a comprehensive understanding of the project's full scope.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and execute all functional testing protocols for systems implemented in a project.
  • Reference diagrams, technical specifications, schematics, manuals, standards, and regulations.
  • Gather and document all test outcomes in alignment with manufacturer requirements and project objectives.
  • Create a list of deficiencies and facilitate the resolution of outstanding tasks.
  • Analyze data and generate detailed technical reports.
  • Supervise and coordinate air and hydronic balancing activities.
  • Oversee the external control vendor programming team.
  • Complete all necessary documentation to confirm process finalization.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an Industrial Instrumentation Technology program or any recognized Red Seal Trade.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a multi-project construction setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of control systems and hydronic principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting large-scale project drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards.
  • Understanding of the P3 construction model.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse group of contributors.
