Position Overview

The role of a Kitchen Helper at Bent Taco involves supporting the culinary team in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dish Management: Ensure that clean dishes, utensils, and other items are readily available in serving areas and properly set up.
  • Sanitation Duties: Clean and sanitize kitchen items including dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Dining Area Maintenance: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a tidy dining experience.
  • Dishwasher Operation: Operate dishwashers to effectively wash dishes, glassware, and utensils.
  • Storage Organization: Place dishes and kitchen supplies in designated storage areas.
  • Supply Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas as needed.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items while ensuring quality standards.
  • Inventory Control: Keep records of food quantities used and assist in stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain cleanliness.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
