Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Ottawa as a Professor of Theatre Arts. We are seeking a highly qualified individual to teach and mentor students in the technical aspects of theatre production.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor students in the technical aspects of theatre production
- Develop and implement curriculum for theatre production courses
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement theatre productions
- Supervise and mentor students in the technical aspects of theatre production
Requirements:
- Professional and practical knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre
- Post-secondary teaching experience
- Safety knowledge: shop safety, including use of power tools, first aid, certified in the basics of fall protection
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will be expected to give one of the labs and have a strong understanding of the technical aspects of theatre production. An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
