Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly to prevent and detect security breaches
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including shoplifting and other forms of internal and external loss
- Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to alarms
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve security-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and activities
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous experience as a security guard or in a related field
- Good understanding of legal guidelines for security and public safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
