Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Georgia-Pacific Englehart OSB Mill. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of production and maintenance associates in achieving their production, quality, safety, and reliability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of up to 25 production and maintenance associates in a continuous manufacturing process.
  • Supervise and coordinate production efforts to drive improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
  • Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving, and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership, and holding employees accountable.
  • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
  • Monitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues.
  • Provide safety training to crew members.
  • Provide coaching, team development, and performance management.
  • Complete data entry responsibilities and generate reports.
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or in a process engineering role.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and use various PC, software, and cloud-based software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • OSB manufacturing experience.
  • Experience and application of safe work practices - Lock Tag Verify (LTV); Hazard Analysis/Awareness.
  • Experience coaching, counseling, and developing employees.
