Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team at McMaster Children's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our pediatric critical care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in the PICU, inpatient wards, and Pediatric Emergency Department
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety
- Engage in advanced therapies, including continuous renal replacement therapy and therapeutic plasma exchange
- Develop and maintain expertise in pediatric critical care and respiratory therapy
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Current Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
- Successful Completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum two (2) years recent experience in a pediatric setting
- Current pediatric critical care experience preferred
