About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Carl's Jr. as a Dishroom Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes, including dishwashers, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, such as salads and sandwiches.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Vegetable and Fruit Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for use in food preparation.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a variable schedule of 32 to 44 hours per week. Public transportation is available.
