Pathfind is collaborating with a not-for-profit public agency and regulatory body dedicated to delivering risk-oriented regulatory supervision. We are in search of a skilled Risk Assessment Manager to become the primary point of contact between the Corporation and designated financial institutions concerning regulatory oversight. The Risk Assessment Manager will play a pivotal role in the risk-based evaluation of assigned financial institutions to ensure their stability and soundness. This encompasses the assessment of governance and risk management protocols, monitoring liquidity, capital, and earnings positions/requirements, while also considering potential economic and environmental influences.
Key Responsibilities:
Guaranteeing the safety of deposits held. Regulating financial services entities and enforcing relevant legislation. Providing guidance and direction to financial institutions on prudent business practices. Evaluating financial institution performance and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and enhance performance. Setting individual financial institution loan approval thresholds and adjudicating loans that exceed these limits.Ideal Candidate Profile:

A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial institutions focusing on risk assessment in areas such as asset/liability management, credit, financial, capital, earnings, liquidity, governance, internal audit, market risk, and/or operational risk. A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the financial sector. Professional designations or advanced studies in finance or risk management (e.g., CPA, FRM, CFA) are advantageous. Familiarity with applicable financial sector regulations is beneficial. Experience with credit union systems is a plus. Background in IT governance/security/audit is an asset. Strong communication skills, including verbal, active listening, and written communication. Exceptional presentation skills, problem-solving capabilities, and critical thinking. Proficiency in technology, including MS Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, and other tools for effective hybrid meetings.Compensation & Benefits:
