About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Canada West Equipment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our grounds, ensuring that our facilities are safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Supervision: Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure that our grounds maintenance operations are running smoothly.
  • Grounds Maintenance Planning: Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, and other tasks as needed.
  • Labour and Materials Planning: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for grounds maintenance projects.
  • Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records and logs of grounds maintenance activities, including hours worked, materials used, and other relevant information.
  • Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts for grounds maintenance services, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment used for grounds maintenance, ensuring that it is in good working order.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support grounds maintenance operations.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure that grounds maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
Supervision and Team Management
  • Team Size: Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a grounds maintenance or operations environment.
