Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced live-out caregiver to provide support for a 60-year-old individual dealing with a chronic health condition. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate nature and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our client.

Key Responsibilities

The caregiver will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

  1. Personal Care: Assisting with daily personal hygiene and grooming.
  2. Medical Support: Accompanying the client to medical appointments.
  3. Daily Living Assistance: Helping with everyday needs and activities.
  4. Medication Management: Ensuring proper medication administration.
  5. Household Duties: Performing general housework and laundry.
  6. Meal Preparation: Preparing nutritious meals tailored to the client's dietary needs.
Work Schedule and Environment

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with weekends off. The work environment is smoke-free, promoting a healthy atmosphere. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as there may be occasions where an earlier start or later finish is required.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in caregiving.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills in English or French.
  • References that can attest to previous caregiving experience.
