Key Responsibilities- Network Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable signals and associated equipment.
- Network Testing and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment, and repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
- Network Configuration and Optimization: Read blueprints to determine work requirements, and install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment.
- Network Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain test and service reports, and connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
- Network Expansion and Upgrade: Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access, and test equipment to locate transmission faults.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Environment: Work outdoors, and be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
