Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Float Pool

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Float Pool team at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Float Pool unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Recent experience with cardiac rhythms and medication administration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
