Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a full-time teaching stream appointment in Mathematics at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate mathematics courses, including core courses at the first and/or second year level, as well as upper-level courses in one's field of expertise.
  • Develop and manage teaching assistants, create course materials, and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Participate in student recruitment and departmental administration.
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Mathematics by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent teaching and commitment to pedagogical inquiry and teaching innovation.
  • Teaching experience in a degree-granting program at the undergraduate level, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and online material/lectures.
  • Strong letters of reference from referees of high standing, highlighting excellent teaching and commitment to pedagogical enquiry and teaching innovation.
