Service Technician – Equipment Maintenance Specialist at United Rentals of Canada, Inc.

As a Service Technician – Equipment Maintenance Specialist at United Rentals of Canada, Inc., you will leverage your expertise to conduct maintenance and repairs on intricate machinery owned by clients, operating with minimal supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform safe maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of client equipment and tools, exercising a high degree of independent judgment.
  • Document all work performed accurately and promptly, maintaining electronic records (work orders) on a daily basis.
  • Promote and demonstrate a diverse range of complex equipment to clients.
  • Travel to client job sites for the repair and maintenance of their equipment; ensure service vehicle is kept clean and professional.
  • Assist with the collection and delivery of equipment and parts as required.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Advanced mechanical skills and familiarity with tools.
  • Knowledge of construction machinery and a solid mechanical understanding of various engines.
  • Possession of tools relevant to the position.
  • Exceptional customer service, teamwork, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive in accordance with United Rentals' policies and procedures.
