Job Summary

As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the processing of medical equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize medical equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including sterilizers and washer-disinfectors.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • Successful completion of MDRD certification from an accredited college within the last 2 years.
  • One year of experience working in an MDRD environment within the last 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift 25 lbs repeatedly and push items over 50 lbs repeatedly.
