Insurance Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Lines Underwriter to join our team at Morison Insurance Brokers Inc. As a Personal Lines Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Personal Lines Client Account Managers by completing various tasks related to insurance policy processing, underwriting, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Process insurance policy changes and renewals on various company portals
- Verify new business, policy changes, and cancellations for accuracy
- Work from a queue, completing activities in our Broker management system
- Process manual renewals and invoices for non-download policies
- Follow up on Expiry Reports with companies on pending renewals
- Communicate with companies for Underwriting follow-up/questions as required
- Split Accounts/Move Policies within our broker management system
- Inactivate Client Accounts in our Broker management system
- Handle 'mail' activities within Epic as entered by reception
- Prepare Month End Reports; review and correct as required

- Solid understanding of various insurance companies and their underwriting rules
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Quick learner
- Willing to obtain RIBO License
- 2 years Personal Lines insurance education and/or underwriting experience
- Experience using Applied Epic is an asset
- Experience using Compu-Quote and various insurance company portals is an asset
- Additional industry designations, such as RIBO, CAIB, or CIP is an asset
