This position is based in-office.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Role Overview

The Client Relations Specialist plays a crucial and distinctive role at McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes. This position collaborates closely with Funeral Directors and Administrators to facilitate smooth communication and support for families. The role encompasses various administrative duties to assist the funeral home's operations, acting as a liaison between families and our professional staff to ensure a compassionate and efficient service.

This position is well-suited for an experienced licensed funeral director looking to transition to a different pace or a newly licensed director eager to learn and develop within a nurturing team. This role offers set hours in an office environment while still allowing for involvement in the industry. It is ideal for someone who is empathetic, detail-oriented, and aims to make a significant impact by supporting families during challenging times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide follow-up information and assistance to families after initial arrangements have been made, ensuring all their inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and sensitively.
  • Coordinate with the Public Trustee office to arrange services, ensuring all legal and administrative requirements are fulfilled.
  • Respond to general inquiries regarding our services, providing accurate and helpful information to callers to meet their needs.
  • Monitor communication platforms for incoming messages, redirecting them to the appropriate staff members and following up to ensure they are acknowledged and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Handle emails, calls, and messages related to pricing inquiries, ensuring families receive timely and accurate information to prevent them from seeking alternatives due to delays.
  • Assist with incoming calls when central reception staff are occupied, ensuring no call goes unanswered and all inquiries are attended to promptly.
  • Assist with necessary medical and vital statistics documentation, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Help manage pre-need files, answering any questions related to pre-need arrangements and ensuring all information is current and precise.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Funeral Director or in Administration is preferred.
  • Possession of a Funeral Director license or working towards obtaining one.
  • Completion of the Funeral Director diploma or enrollment in the program is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with compassion and discretion.
  • Proficiency with communication tools and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable using Google Docs.
  • Professional appearance and comfort in wearing a company uniform.
