Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to client progress and services provided.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to address their unique challenges and goals.
  • Implement life skills workshops and programs to promote healthy development and independence.
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement community-based services and programs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., child and youth care, social work, education).
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children and youth in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mental health first aid certification.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification.
  • Cultural Awareness Training.
  • Medication Administration Certificate.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
