Technical Support Group Staffing Services Ltd. is actively seeking an ELECTRICAL FIELD ENGINEER for a contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering technical expertise and knowledge to formulate effective project execution strategies.
  • Tracking, assessing, and reporting on the overall progress and outcomes of projects, with the authority to initiate corrective measures as necessary.
  • Overseeing, directing, and ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards during field project execution.
  • Coordinating all project contract service providers to ensure the safe and efficient use of contracted resources.
  • Administering specific project contracts to ensure field compliance while providing guidance on contract-related issues, directives, and modifications.
  • Facilitating interactions with Unit Operations and Maintenance to remove barriers that may hinder project advancement, including authorizations and permits.
  • Taking ownership of the successful execution of plant and corporate strategies.
  • Striving to comprehend company objectives and assisting others in understanding their contributions.
  • Offering daily guidance to optimize resource utilization, including personnel, time, and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • A journeyman trades certificate or a technology diploma, complemented by a robust maintenance background and proven field engineering capabilities.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or mining environment, with exposure to diverse project scopes.
  • General Mine Safety Awareness (GMSA) certification is essential.
  • WHMIS certification is required.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Familiarity with site safety, OH&S, and environmental regulations.
  • Solid understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of delivering results under pressure.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Outlook, SAP, MS Word, and Excel.
