About the Role

Aukosh is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Child Care Specialist to join our team. As a Family Child Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Site Environment: Our work site is a non-smoking, scent-free environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of our children and staff.
  • Work Setting: As a Family Child Care Specialist, you will work in the employer's/client's home, providing care and education to children in a home-based setting.
  • Tasks: Your responsibilities will include performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens, bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, organizing activities such as games and outings for children, preparing and serving nutritious meals, supervising and caring for children, and cooking.
  • Target Audience: You will be responsible for supervising and caring for a multi-aged group of children.
  • Security and Safety: A reference check will be required as part of the hiring process.
  • Weight Handling: You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of your duties.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for a candidate with flexibility, judgement, organization, patience, and honesty.
  • Screening Questions: You will be asked a series of screening questions as part of the hiring process, including your availability for the advertised start date, your current residence in proximity to the advertised location, and your previous experience in this field of employment.
