Job Title: Investment Management Intern/Co-op

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our investment management team as an intern/co-op. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial industry and develop your skills in investment research, analysis, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the team with activities including data analysis, research, and reporting.
  2. Work with one of our teams within TD Asset Management, including Fundamental Equities Research, Fixed Income, or Asset Liability Management.
  3. Build and maintain analytics to help facilitate portfolio decision making.
  4. Validate data to ensure its integrity.
  5. Support projects focused on process improvement and contribute to team meetings and investment discussions.

Requirements:

  1. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  2. Good foundation in business acumen, capital markets, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  4. Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
  5. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with specialty software programs, such as Bloomberg, Factset, or Capital IQ.
  2. Co-op experience in investment research, real estate, or public and private securities analysis.
