Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our unit, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient schedules and appointments, ensuring timely and efficient communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Assemble and maintain accurate and complete patient medical records, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Order and maintain unit supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for patient care and staff needs.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the unit, preparing schedules, participating in orienting new staff, and responding to emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and outside agencies to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred or at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology specific to the specialty preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • EPIC or similar clinical information systems experience preferred.
