About the Role

Cooke Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team of accounting professionals. This role will be based in our Saint John, NB or Blacks Harbour, NB office, reporting to the Divisional Controller.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements for month-end and year-end, including working papers and journal entries.
  • Provide support to all aspects of general accounting, adhering to best practices and principles.
  • Assist with special projects as requested by Management, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • 2 years or more post-secondary education in Business/Finance.
  • CPA or enrollment in the program is considered an asset.
  • Fine-tuned organizational and detail management skills are essential.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food processing, fisheries, or aquaculture is an asset.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset.
