Join Our Team as a Community Physiotherapist

We are seeking a qualified Registered Physiotherapist to provide community-based physiotherapy services to adults and children in Durham Region. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team to provide high-quality care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ministry-funded, community-based physiotherapy services to clients in their place of residence
  • Perform physiotherapy assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with clients and caregivers
  • Assign patient care plans and provide supervision and monitoring of physiotherapy assistants when appropriate
  • Provide education to clients and caregivers and link to community agencies and resources when necessary
  • Complete and maintain documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress, and discharge summaries according to CAR and College of Physiotherapists of Ontario standards
Requirements:
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Experience working in a community setting is preferred but new graduates will be considered
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team
  • Ability to prioritize, manage self-scheduling, and meet reporting deadlines
  • Excellent oral, written, and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation is required for this position
