About the Role

Cascades is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Vaughan, ON. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, examine, replace or repair industrial equipment in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs and welding, to prevent equipment downtime
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine equipment layout and installation requirements
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments before performing any maintenance tasks

Requirements

  • Millwright or Industrial Maintenance Mechanic diploma or degree
  • Valid 433A License
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Ability to provide own tools necessary for maintenance tasks
  • Forklift, scissor lift, welding and other related certifications an asset
  • Able to work rotating continental shifts
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
