Job Overview

The Project Controls Engineer/Officer is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, including project scoping, risk management, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including field execution, to ensure accurate reflection of the current project plan.
  • Reconcile financial systems and project controls systems to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze project costs and schedules to identify potential discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Interface with cross-functional groups to ensure project plans are accurately updated and maintained.
  • Develop and maintain project control budgets, including annual business plans and control budgets.
  • Perform purchase order analysis and reporting to ensure accurate capture and monitoring of costs.
  • Facilitate and support project financial close-out process, including final reconciliation and closure of project controls and source systems.
Qualifications

Education

  • Requires a four-year university education in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or engineering.

Experience

  • Requires experience in project management within a nuclear, hydroelectric, or thermal generating facility, with a focus on project management support.
  • Requires experience in developing and operating various computerized systems and databases, including business unit financial and work management systems.
  • Requires experience in corporate financial processes and departmental and divisional interfaces with other areas of the organization.
