About the Role

The Direct Support Worker is a vital member of our team at Aldaview Services, providing support and assistance to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This part-time position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the Primary Direct Support on shift and report to the Program Manager.
  • Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in their goals and aspirations, promoting self-determination and empowerment.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in the social services field, such as a DSW/PSW or enrolled in a related college or university program.
  • Related experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • CPR, Emergency First Aid, NVCI certification.
  • A valid G license for driving residents to appointments and activities.
