Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 12 Volt Electrical Specialist to join our team at Dependable Truck & Tank Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining 12 Volt electrical systems on heavy trucks and tankers. This includes installing new electrical assemblies, fitting air actuated systems, and troubleshooting electrical faults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain 12 Volt electrical systems on heavy trucks and tankers.
  • Install new electrical assemblies, including truck-mounted lights, switches, and actuators.
  • Fitting air actuated systems and airlines.
  • Pulling wires and airlines through chassis and body.
  • Connecting wires and harnesses to cab.
  • Connecting and disconnecting truck batteries and electrical wiring.
  • Troubleshooting electrical and air system faults.
  • Providing cut-outs in the cab and body for equipment mounting.
  • Reading electrical schematics.

Requirements:

  • Experience in 12 Volt electrical systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of small hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, impact drivers, and hand drills.
  • Candidates must have possession of their own hand tools.
