Position Overview
The Senior Account Manager is tasked with cultivating new and prospective accounts within a designated territory for the Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) division. This role emphasizes the importance of nurturing and enhancing existing client relationships by delivering tailored solutions that address their specific needs. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for proposing additional services such as repairs, inspections, and contract renewals, while also leveraging client referrals to expand our service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue new business opportunities through networking and targeted outreach to decision-makers within existing client organizations.
- Formulate risk management strategies to assist clients in planning for lifecycle projects, thereby reducing the likelihood of costly emergency service calls.
- Develop and present competitive pricing structures for service and maintenance agreements, aiding clients in their budgeting processes.
- Establish and maintain robust business relationships aimed at earning client trust, achieving their goals, and delivering value-added solutions.
- Utilize analytical tools to conduct financial and lifecycle assessments that demonstrate value from the client's perspective.
- Create and deliver compelling proposals and professional presentations that lead to successful contract signings.
- Engage in ongoing sales and industry training to translate learning into tangible sales outcomes.
- Collaborate with operational and sales team members to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
- Foster a foundational understanding of relevant codes to support the success of our life safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities within our CRM system.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CFAA or NICET are advantageous but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related sales role.
- Technical expertise in areas such as sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, suppression systems, security solutions, or commercial facility services.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven leadership in managing customer interactions and a comprehensive understanding of the sales cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with existing clients to sustain current sales and facilitate additional business opportunities.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with various teams and departments.
- Proficient in crafting detailed and persuasive sales proposals.
- Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple proposals and processes concurrently.
- A strong desire for professional, personal, and financial growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
Physical Demands:
Mobility: Frequent travel may be required to meet clients or attend meetings, necessitating the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
