Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Peter Green Hall Childrens Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and ensuring the well-being and development of our young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, promoting their physical and emotional development.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that foster the cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children.
  • Support early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records.
  • Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, encouraging their creativity and imagination.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, providing valuable insights into their development.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Diploma.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Basic security clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Immunization records and a medical exam.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
