Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment, completing preventative maintenance routines, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Track and store department inventory, including materials and equipment.
  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 49lbs and standing/walking for up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
  • Procedure-based maintenance experience (PM).
  • Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment run metrics, such as OEE/Up Time, to prioritize tasks accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards, in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of computer networking systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions, low voltage signal tracing, and logical device troubleshooting.
  • Basic ability to use Linux command line interface.

Compensation

The estimated compensation for this position is $28.00 - $28.25 CAD per year. The pay range listed is a total compensation range, including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
